Most people who are ‘health conscious’ but love coffee switch to decaf, but they’re making a huge mistake. The caffeine molecule itself, found in coffee and tea, has been proven to offer serious health benefits. The process of decaffination is actually quite carcinogic. If you’re going to drink coffee, and I recommend two cups per day, make sure to consume caffeinated, organic drip coffee, preferably light roast. Never drink espresso (unless it is cold-pressed) because it contains high levels of the carcinogen furan.
